Between the Sheets | Tushie Tip of the day!

Yeah, tushie tip of the day. I make my mom proud.;)

I have to say, whenever I ask a woman what her partners favorite part of her body is, they ALWAYS reply their tush. Yet again and again I am seeing flat, lifeless tushies all over boudoir pages.

We must stop this travesty.

Here is a quick tip that will help any woman look gorgeous and curvaceous.

Although I usually recommend pushing a woman’s hip AWAY from you when shooting her, the opposite applies to tush shots. When shooting a tush, the weight must be on the leg closest to you. In addition, you need to ask her to push her tush out – stick it out, from the waist down. (This way she isn’t leaning over looking like she is about to fart.)

Ok stop laughing, I am trying to be serious here! (ok, not really …. but kinda.)

Most women think sticking their tush out will make it look larger, but in reality it makes it look rounder and smooooother – yeah, pulling your tush in increases cellulite, pushing it out – smooth baby butt. (I dare you to try this with a mirror ladies!) Ok, ok, it won’t solve every tush problem – but it’s a head start, which means less editing. (Have I ever told you all how much I hate editing?)

Don’t believe me? I guess I’ll have the tushie do the talking:

A gorgeous tush is a happy tush. That’s my motto.

xo,
Jen

Between The Sheets | How Did You Do That?

I know I have mentioned it before, but as a reminder I am located right outside NYC. This means two main things. 1. There is not a lot of space and 2. Whatever space we do have is expensive. My studio is only about 10′x20′ and as of 2 months ago I share the space now with another photographer. Needless to say, in the words of the uber amazing Tim Gunn – I have to make it work. Making it works means using every inch of available space that I have available to me. It might not just be in the studio itself. I also use hallways, stair cases, etc…

Recently, I posted these photos on my other blog.A few people asked me how I accomplished the look of light and dark so to best demonstrate, I made a super amateur video to show you.:)

Enjoy.

xo,
Jen
